Some Guidelines when Buying Fish Medications

Prevention is always better than cure, but it doesn’t mean that you should panic and mishandle fish medications. If there are no diseased fish, you may opt not to buy fish medications yet. Take note that these medications have shelf life. The products may expire even before you were able to use them. Buy only when you spot a potential sickness or when proper diagnosis is already performed. This way, you will be able to select the most appropriate treatment.

Choose medications that are most suited to the ailment of your fish. Medications may come in topical form, liquid form, blocks, powders, or tablets.  If unsure what to buy, you can always seek the help of experts.  Observe your fish properly and note changes in behavior and other symptoms. After using and when you have excess, store your medications properly in cool and dark places to prolong the shelf life.
