Learning Hardwood floor refinishing Yourself

I think that far too often in this country we have quit learning how to do things for ourselves and made somebody else do it for us.  On one side it is pretty cool to give others work, but on the other side there are not more people learning the trade.  I would much rather learn how to do something myself then have somebody always be doing things for me.  That is why I am right now looking into hardwood floor refinishing.  I am not only going to have the satisfaction that I did it, but will have saved a lot of money.
