Car Forums Busy Discussing Toyota Recalls
Car Forums are quite busy at the moment discussing the latest Toyota recalls. Several of its models including the Yaris, Auris, Avensis, and Verso have already, or will be recalled soon, due to a problem with the accelerator pedal sticking. It has affected 5.3 million of Toyota cars worldwide so far. Apparently the problem is rare, but Toyota says that the accelerator pedal is liable to stick in the down position, or return only slowly to the rest position, causing unexpected acceleration. Some dealers have apprently been taking the cars in then not releasing them until the new components to rectify the problem have arrived which can take days or weeks.
